A heavy heart

Dad, Grampo, Big Grampo, Tio, Compa, Friend. Only a few of the words to describe a man loved by so many people. Dad went to his reward last night after suffering through a final bout of congestive heart failure. I just wanted to post this picture of him in his chair. He had finally resigned himself to using the thing because it did help to get him outside and down the street where he could stop and visit with neighbors. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. We love you, Dad, and you were NEVER a burden!

Oh Veronica~ My heart goes out to you. I lost my Dad a few years ago and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. Praying that you find comfort in the Lord, family and friends.
Here is a verse that helped me tremedously~
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all Comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
2 Chorinthians 1:3-5

You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Your dad must have gotten a whole lot worse in the 5 days between posts. He certainly fought the good fight these last few years. My deepest sympathies, my friend.

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I know he meant the world to you. It is never easy when a parent passes. I could tell from your posts how much the two of you meant to each other. He reminded me in many ways of my own Dad. You are a strong lady and will get through this. He is now in a better place with no more pain and able to move about with ease. Hugs
