another UFO bites the dust!

This little quilt was started a while back. The back has an eye-spy panel. It is a gift for one of my clients' great grandson.

Well, I think it's time for a new sewing machine. (sigh...) I broke the little thing that pulls down my self-threader today. Probably something that can be replaced easily. When I told Jim it was time for a new machine, he said, "How long have you had this one!? You haven't had it very long!" He doesn't remember I've had it about 6 years now and use it every day! I really put it through it's paces. It's also an embroidery machine and I would like to use that part of it more often but I'm never off the sewing part long enough to set up the embroidery module. That's why I'd really like a new machine, just for quilting. I think I'll check them out at the quilt show in November. Deborah, don't let me forget, please!

Congrats on finishing another UFO! I agree with you, another machine just for quilting would free up your current machine for embroidery work. I am sure if your husband used the same tool everyday, he wouldn't hesitate to replace it after 6 years!

Ah, bowties---one of my fav quick and easy blocks. I have a feeling I will be doing more of those for the Boys Ranch.

I would like to replace my Viking as well but with what?? I sure hate having to drive 60 plus miles to get it serviced but they are so expensive. DJ send me back to work and then I wouldnt have time to sew. Time to sew but no new machine--and so it goes.
