A little embroidery

All the flower faces are cut, washed and ready to be stitched. I've finished one block. Woo hoo!! This picture shows the difference between the one that's stitched and one that isn't. Oh I so wish the liquid embroidery had stood the test of time! I love to do hand work, but I am not looking forward to doing 11 more of the blocks! If you notice, I did not attempt to stitch on every drawn line. I figured the outline and a few inner lines (on the flower itself) would be enough. I was going to do the same thing in the stem and leaves, but those I can do with just a straight stitch so it won't take too long to do them. Working on these while sitting with Dad does give me a sense of being close to Mom since she did the original "coloring".

Oh boy, time to shower and get out of here. Have a great Wednesday!
